System Configuration & Issue Report

I am experiencing a persistent conflict when attempting to screen mirror my Android device to the Nest Hub while running this specific software version. The visual feed casts correctly via the Google Home App, but the audio stream disconnects immediately upon launch.

Version Details

  • App Name: PVZ Fusion (Custom Edition)
  • Version: 3.1.1
  • Platform: Android / Google Home Integration
  • Status: Unstable Audio Output

Technical Specs & Environment

  • Cast Destination: Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen)
  • Connection Type: 5GHz Wi-Fi (Same network)
  • Phone Model: Pixel 7 / Samsung S23
  • Error Type: Latency and total audio drop-off

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the Google Home App and select the Nest device.
  2. Initiate "Cast my screen."
  3. Launch PVZ Fusion 3.1.1.
  4. Notice the audio cuts out after the loading screen, though video remains.

I have attached the full configuration log and screen recording in the Google Doc link above. Is anyone else facing this specific compatibility issue with version 3.1.1 when casting? I need to know if this is a buffer size limit on the Home App or a software conflict.

Hi @ibrahimprakasa1,

Thank you for reaching out to the community! I understand you are experiencing an issue when casting Plants vs. Zombies Fusion from your Pixel 7 and Samsung S23 to your Nest Hub (2nd Gen), where the video works well, but the audio is unstable. Don't worry, I am here to help!

Regarding the link you attached, I noticed it only leads to the APK download page. However, returning to the audio issue, I have a few questions for you:

  • Have you tried restarting your Nest Hub (2nd Gen)?
  • Does this audio problem occur only with PVZ Fusion, or does it happen with other apps like Netflix, YouTube, or Spotify?
  • Which version of the Google Home app is installed on your phone?

Please feel free to share any additional details you think might be relevant.

Best regards,
Eduardo
