Hi tedioussugar,

This is not the experience we want you to have; let me help you. A few questions: which Nest speakers are we working with? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made?

It would help a lot if you could do a sequential reboot first:

  1. Unplug the power cord of your router, followed by your Nest speakers.
  2. Plug them back in after 3 minutes.
  3. Restarting your phone might also help.

Also, you can add or remove albums with the Home app or your Nest display.

Home app:

  1. Open the Home app .
  2. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then Photo Frame and then Google Photos.
  4. Select albums to add and deselect albums to remove.

Nest display:

  1. Say “Hey Google, change Photo frame.”
  2. Tap Google Photos.
  3. Select albums to add and deselect albums to remove.

Available albums include auto-selected albums like “Recent highlights,” your private Google Photos albums, and your shared albums that have a name.

For more information, see this helpful guide. Keep us posted.

Best,

Dan

Hey there,

I wanted to follow up and see if you still needed help. Please let me know if you are still having any concerns or questions from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Regards,

Dan

Thank you Dan,

My Nest Hub is still refusing to show my photos on slideshow. I’ve tried downloading Google Photos and uploading the desired pictures to there as well but have no results.

Hello tedioussugar,

Got it! Let's revert your Nest Hub back to its default settings by doing a factory reset. You can set it back up afterwards. Follow the steps below:

  1. On the back of Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds.
  2. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting.

Once done, if you can create a new album, please do! Also, you can replace the saved photos on current album and see what happens.

Kind regards,

Dan

Just one quick final follow up since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.
