Picture quality

When using Chromecast built-in my picture quality is not showing it as 720 although the stream is available and selected in 720. Also whenever it connects the volume is  at 100

I am sorry about the late response, thank you for your patience! Were you able to fix that quality issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, since I'd want to watch things at the quality I selected as well! Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • Does this issue only happen on one app, or many?
  • Are there settings on the TV itself that could be affecting the picture quality?
  • What kind of TV do you have?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

Not w/this particular thing but I have noticed that I get the chrome symbol sometimes when trying to cast. I have built-in Chromecast on a Hisense Tv all things are updated.

No problem! Let me just ask you a couple questions about that scenario:

  • Does this happen on one particular site, or many?
  • Does this happen only when casting from Google Chrome?
  • Does this happen on more than one device, such as a computer or phone?

Normally on watchwrestling.ai

Yes when casting from Chrome

When using my cellphone to cast to my TV

Awesome, thanks for getting back to me! Here is what I suggest you try:

  • Make sure your Google Chrome app is up-to-date.
  • Cast from an app, such as YouTube, to see if the quality is consistent.
  • Cast from Google Chrome, you can use YouTube again, to check the quality again.
  • Finally, cast from watchwrestling.ai and see if the issue persists.

If the issue happens with your apps, and multiple websites, the issue may lie on the Google Home app or Chromecast. However, if the issue only occurs with watchwrestling.ai, then there may be an issue on their end when it comes to casting from a cellphone, from that point, see if the issue is still occurring when casting from another device, such as a computer or tablet.

At the time it seems ok, my Android TV doesn't  have Google Home only my phone.. I haven't really tried any other websites. I do notice that when it connects the volume automatically goes to 100 though.

Hey there Rob50,

 

The issue may be isolated to watchwrestling.ai, since the ability to cast has to be added by the website developers and there may be an issue on their end. As for the volume going to 100 automatically may be an intended feature. If this is something you'd like to see changed in the future, I'd recommend that you submit feedback via the Google Home app to let Google know.
