When I tried to set up Google Home Presence Sensing, I didn't place the location pin on the map accurately enough. Now I can't find any way to change the location. Is there any way to reset or change the location pin?
(This question was asked before but the reply there does not solve the issue - https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Apps-Account/Presence-sensing-how-to-move-the-pin-on-the-map/...)

Hi og18,
Thanks for posting, and we appreciate you using one of our great features. For your concern, try the steps below:
Learn how to use your phone location for better presence sensing.
Also, to get better troubleshooting steps, see this guide.
Hope this helps.

Hi Dan,
Thanks a lot for the answer!
Unfortunately that solution does not work though. Indeed it opened the "dialogue box" of the home location with the map and pin when I first followed these steps to set up the presence settings. However, now that I did it once, it won't open it again regardless which option I turn off/on. The question is how to force it to open again.
Best regards,
Orel

Hi og18,
Got it and sorry for the delay. This option is available when you are setting up presence sensing for the first time on your phone. You can reinstall the Google Home app on your phone so you can set it up once more.
I hope this helps.

Juni

Hi Lovely,
I didn't try the suggested solution yet because I was worried that reinstalling the Google Home app would mean setting up from scratch all other devices and automations as well. I am basically waiting for the opportunity to do it when it won't be a problem if that's the case. Either way, I don't see why the suggested solution wouldn't work, so I would say no further help is needed for now.
I don't know if there's a way to mark a reply as "the solution" here and close the thread.
Best regards,
Orel

Hey Orel,
I appreciate the update! Uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Home app won't affect the devices configured and settings saved in the app since they're all saved in the cloud. As long as you sign in to the Google Account you were using before, all the devices and settings will show up again.
Since you don't need anything else, I'll be locking this thread for the next 24 hours. Feel free to start a new post if you have other questions or concerns.
Thanks,
Lovely
