Trying to help my wife migrate her old Nest account to Google. She hadn't logged into the Nest app in a long time. Used an old email address no longer in use and can't remember Nest password. So when trying to login to Nest App using Google, it's complaining she hadn't migrated her Nest account to Google, and must first login to Nest App using old credentials. Password recovery doesn't work, since it's sent to an old unused email address. What to do now?

Nope. Figured it out …. Finally. Can’t believe this was as difficult as it was. Google should be ashamed.
