Pressence sensing not working for me

Ok so I used automations regularly until this last big update. I had automations running that used pressence sensing. It worked great. Then this last big update it stopped working. I have the location permissions set to always on. The presence sensing menu in settings on the home app even says it's using my phone and it shows my location as home and away when I am home and away, however when trying to make an automation it says pressence sensing needs to be set up to use it as a starter. I don't know what I'm missing here. Support was largely unhelpful. I really just want to have my automation with presence sensing back! What am I doing wrong here?

I can save the automation but it says saved with errors. 🤷

Side note. It works on my wife's iPhone and I have a pixel 8 pro

Not only for presence sensing all automatizations are being saved "with error" but theres no error code or option to solve the problem, as far as in concern it have to do with mesh networks, but there is no official info to make it better

I'm having the same issue. I submitted a support ticket in May, went back and forth with the support team on troubleshooting for weeks, then never heard from them again... Very frustrating experience

This comment finally fixed it for me! Configuring it up in Settings > Presence Sensing never did the trick. Even though that section was showing as completely fine, it never worked. I had to go the Inbox section. It's a separate section in the app under your profile icon. There was a notification inside the Inbox announcing the Home/Away/Presence Sensing feature. You must click the setup button inside that notification. That's the only way Presence Sensing will truly activate

Thank God I found this, that has to be one of the dumbest things I've run into.  Spent almost an hour trying to figure out why turning it on in settings wasn't fixing the issue. Thanks!
