Any one else run into disconnection issues?
I've tried public preview twice now. Both times I encounter a bug that kicks my devices offline. Cameras, lights, speakers, clocks. My chromecasts seem to be okay thus far but now is a bit scary knowing people may be away for the holiday and their cameras & lights disconnect. How will you get them back online when your not home? Doesn't make me feel very safe.

Well, it's a "public preview", so it is probably OK to discuss problems in public. Here's my (probably related!) feedback I just submitted via the app:
-------------
QUOTE: I have an 8 camera Lorex NVR system that links fine and all cameras can be viewed in the home app. (Viewing on Chromecast or nest hub does not work, as reported long ago elsewhere).
The problem starts if I turn off the NVR for a few minutes, then turn it back on:
1. All cameras disappear forever from the home app.
2. "Lorex home" app no longer shows up as a linked app.
3. I have to link the app again from scratch!!
4. Even though my complicated Lorex password is saved in chrome and has been used for app linking before, it does not auto-fill when trying to link the app.
5. After linking, the cameras show up as linked devices and I need to add them to the home/locations again!
This is Sisyphean! Unusable! I cannot be expected to repeat all these steps after any power outage or NVR reboot! There needs to be some grace period (days? Weeks?) where added and linked devices remain cached and reappear once the device is back online. They could show as offline during these times. Right?

It happens to my Google nest doorbell.

I left Public Preview and now it just lets me request an invite. I had left a couple of times because I was having trouble connecting my smart bulbs after I changed phones and got enough speaker and I was able to go back in but now I can't. Does anybody know if there's a way to do that or did I just lose my place?

I found my invite In the activity tab

Hi folks,
Thanks for posting in the community and apologies for the late response. There was an emerging issue where users enrolled in the Google Home app Public Preview can’t check their Nest Camera’s video history. This issue has been resolved and users should be able to check their video history in the new camera controller. Would like to check with everyone if it's already working on your end?
Best,
Nikki

Yes, to confirm that typically worked with mine(public preview nest door cam) from the beginning even though I had a 2021 google wireless door cam. My issue was it getting disconnected often.

Hi ACEMONROE89,
Thanks for the update. For now, what we can do is to monitor the devices since there was a fix rolled out recently. We will keep the thread open for another three days and wait for more updates from users.
Best,
Nikki

In full transparency, no solution or answer was ever provided for my concern about the issue.

Hi ACEMONROE89.
Thanks for the response and sorry that you are still experiencing the issue. A few things: which Nest doorbell model is it? When did your issue begin? Were there any recent changes made before the issue started? Is the Wi-Fi router or access point within a reasonable range (1 to 15 meters) of between three to fifty feet from the Nest devices? How often does it happen? What steps have you taken?
Looking forward to your response.
Regards,
Juni

It's my Google nest doorbell (Battery) it usually has a good charge, is about 20 ft from wifi and router. Previous to my move it was absolutely fine, after my move it was absolutely fine. It started happening I noticed after my update to public view. It happened again today and, tbh I've been on holiday and have only noticed it as I had time to look. I have once before had a tech respond to a wifi issue, but it was figured out. The problems weren't even an issue then - they didn't exist till my screen moved my camera to public view.

Hi there,
Thanks for the details and I’m sorry that you are still experiencing the issue. When the issue happens, what message are you getting every time it disconnects? Could you check the LED status light or light ring of the device. The doorbell’s LED status light or light ring often indicates the issue. Check the helpful link below to know more about it.

Keep me posted.

I'll be on the look out for indicator lights. I did forget to mention a work around I had found, sometimes I use it sometimes it fixes itself. ( I would push the ring doorbell and the camera would come on).
Another oddity that developed around the time the camera would just shut off or be disconnected (not able to connect) it has a grainy and horizontal capture. *seemingly as if video transmission is altered* I'll try to capture this to share. I have moved into a hallway unit that can be shady most of the time. But that wasn't any issue until again, I was and still am in public view. It doesn't happen with out that update. But I really enjoy the beta testing we're allowed to do, understand there can be issues I run into so maybe this can help my Google products sync well and perform better.
