Rgb pot lights

I have color Globe electric ceiling led pot lights but I can't change the color of them in the google home app. I used to be able to but recently I am unable to. I can change them in the globe app but not Google home. Anyone have any ideas?

Same for myself. I have 17 bulbs that can change to any colour but as of about 24 hours ago Google Home app, assistant and hubs don't recognise them as having this functionality where previously they had all worked just fine. They are from a few different manufacturers/brands but all connected to Google via the Tuya (Smartlife) service. Within the Tuya app I still have full functionality.

We don't have smart lights and don't use the color option, but there are many recent posts in this forum indicating a recent update of the Google Home app (or something on Google Nest's servers) recently removed the ability to change colors.

Well about 10 minutes ago all of my lights decided to switch off without my say so. I went to turn them back on via the Home app and was pleasantly surprised to see the colour button has reappeared. Looks like Google have worked fast to implement a fix and in pushing it through the lights all switched off at the same time. One happy person here and kudos to the team within Google who were tasked with diagnosing and fixing the issue. Very I.pressed it was fixed so quickly.

 

Also, I checked my Home Hubs & Home Hub Max. The Colour button wasn't showing on those until I power cycled them. Now it's all back to being as it should do.

After struggling for a bit to get the lights working as they should, I had a brain fart and came up with one last solution. I unlinked the accounts in the Google home app and linked them up again and the lights now have the Color button back in the home app. I hope this helps and works for others 🙂
