I just want to ask some thing very different 

hoping some could answer me, I have experienced one of the manager at work bring His i phone out and dial some thing on the phone and then waving to my face and it happened when I’m alone with his office , what I could be? Like ambient light sensor , If any body knows what it’s please get back to me
