Senville air conditioning integration

Ephogy

I have a Senville air conditioner with the WiFi interface connected to Google home.  Initially I thought the integration was just poor and only on/off worked.  I recently showed my wife that she could turn it on and off on her iPhone, and low and behold, there's temperature control there, but not on my Android phone.  Is there any work around for this?

Did you ever find a solution to this?

No.  Still kind of useless on Google Home on Android vs Google Home on iPhone.

Tried multiple android phones, all behave the same.

Hi folks,

Thanks for posting here in community.

A few things: Which Android version is installed on your phone? What model phone is it? Have you tried using another Android phone to isolate?

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Juni

Tried it with a Pixel 3 Android 12 and a Pixel 6 Android 13.

Both simply show and ON/OFF button with no control functionality.

Hi there,

Thanks for the response. Could you provide the Google Home app version installed, then try to uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app and see if that will make any difference?

Looking forward for your response.

Google Home version 2.60.60.4

behavior is the same after uninstalling and installing again.

Hi there,

Thanks for trying that. At this point, this issue needs to be addressed by the Senville support. It's the manufacturer's discretion on what actions the Google home app can control. We suggest that you contact them so they can make adjustments on these limitations.

Keep me posted.

Thanks,

Juni

I will attempt to contact the manufacturer but have little hope of a response here.

Still confused as to why Google Home running on an iPhone works, and Google Home running on an Android phone does not work.  I don't see how this would be a problem on the manufacturer's side.
