Should it be possible to stream audio with Goggle Assistant command to any chromecast device and is every chromecast audio device capable to add to speaker groups in the home app?

Hey there NicolasH,

I'm sorry about the slow response time, thank you for being patient! Were you able to find out your Assistant questions? If not, I'd be happy to help out! To answer your first question, yes! I would check out this article on playing audio on Chromecast-enabled speakers & TVs for more details.

As for the second questions, yes as well! Compatible devices include Google Home, Google Nest Mini (2nd gen), Google Home Mini (1st gen), Google Home Max, Google Nest Audio, and Google Nest displays, Google Nest Wifi point, Chromecast with Google TV, Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra, Chromecast Audio, and devices with Chromecast built-in.

I hope that answers your question! If you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know.

Best regards,
Jeran

Hi there, I´ve got a LG SK8 Soundbar (without Google Assistant), but I couldn´t use my Google Nest Mini to play some music at this soundbar anymore. The LG support told me there is no way to start music via voice commands from an other Google Assistant device and it was never possible (it´s a lie, worked for month at my side). Also they told its impossible to group this soundbar,
