I accidentally deleted my thermostat settings. I’m trying to reset the temp so my pipes do not freeze and cause major water damage in my unit, but I’m out of town.
1. Is the house temp still set at the temp I had set it for?
2. Did I just disconnect my devices from the thermostat and I’ll just need to reconnect them when I get back to the house? This just means I can’t control remotely until I can get them reconnected.
3. Is there a way to reconnect my devices with the home thermostat remotely? I can’t scan the QR code or enter anything codes since I’m not on premises.
Did you simply delete the temperature settings, or did you delete the DEVICE from the Nest app or Google Home application? If you just tweaked your settings, you should be able to reconnect and adjust your thermostat, from one app or the other.
If you don't see the devices in your App, then you cannot control them, and I doubt you can reconnect them remotely, as it wants to talk to your phone directly, in order to get your WiFi password delivered.
