SiriusXM Stopped Streaming (Repeat of April-2023 issue!)

There’s a post from April, 2023 where most users commented that Google would respond to voice command as if it was streaming, but no sound.   That was eventually fixed, but this week the problem has resurfaced.

I ask Google to play 70’s on Siriusxm

Google replys playing 70’s on Siriusxm

no sound

Ive unlinked and relinked SiriusXM in my Google home account and reset the Google nest.

and yes, SiriusXM plays fine on my Alexa devices

Any other suggestions?

Same here.  There was an update required to the SiriusXM app around the same time this stopped working for me; wonder if they forgot us who stream via Google.  The app will not cast to the Nest pucks either though it will cast to a Chromecast device.

I get around this by casting the app to a Chromecast device.

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your concern. We'll work together to identify the cause of the problem and find a solution. A few questions: what Google Nest speakers or displays are we working with? Were there any recent changes made? Are you getting the same response when you use your phone’s Google Assistant?

I look forward to your responses.

Regards,

Juni

I’m using Google nest WiFi (4pack that was sold at Costco).   Same as I had when this happened last year and was ultimately resolved.   SiriusXM plays fine with Alexa, and Google responds that it is playing - but it doesn’t actually play.    I’ve removed and reinstalled the skill, rebooted the router and the individual Google nest device with no luck.   This is very frustrating!

Hello there,

We're checking in to see if you still need help with your Sirius XM concern. Are your Nest Wifi points now able to play radio, specifically Sirius XM? Other than rebooting and reinstalling, what other troubleshooting steps have you taken?

Looking forward to your response.

Kind regards,

Dan

This has not been resolved.  Other than rebooting, removing and re-establishing the link to radio what else can be done on our side?
