HI,
I have some Samsung devices (2 TVs and a washing machine) plugged into the SmartThings app.
I linked the SmartThings "skill" in the Google Home app, and I can control device whit voice and app/smart display interface.
I was wondering if Samsung dishwashers associated with SmartThings are also supported and controlled by the Google Home app and with voice commands.
Anyone have any experiences?
Which devices associated with SmartThings can you control via Google Home?

Hi @NestConnect-IT,
It's great that you've connected your Samsung devices to SmartThings and can control them with Google Home. You're right, Samsung dishwashers that are Wi-Fi enabled and work with SmartThings can also be controlled through the Google Home app using voice commands and the app/smart display interface.
Here's how to check compatibility and control your dishwasher:
Samsung Dishwasher Manual: First, refer to the manual for your specific Samsung dishwasher model. It should specify if it's Wi-Fi enabled and compatible with SmartThings.
SmartThings App: Open the SmartThings app and see if your dishwasher is listed as a connected device. If it is, you should be able to control some functions from there.
Google Home App: Ensure you've linked the SmartThings "skill" within the Google Home app. This allows Google Home to communicate with your SmartThings devices.
Voice Commands: Once everything is linked, you can try using voice commands with Google Home to control your dishwasher. Here are some examples (depending on your model's capabilities):
General SmartThings Control with Google Home:
SmartThings allows connecting various devices from different brands, and control through Google Home will depend on the specific device and its functionalities within SmartThings. Here's a general guideline:
Most Common Devices: SmartThings typically supports lights, plugs, thermostats, locks, cameras, and some appliances (like dishwashers) from various brands. Control through Google Home usually works well for basic functions like turning on/off lights, adjusting thermostats, locking/unlocking doors, or viewing camera feeds.
Less Common Devices: For more specific device types or functionalities, compatibility and control options might vary. It's always best to check the device's manual and the SmartThings app for confirmation.
Finding Compatible Devices:
There isn't a single list of all compatible devices for both SmartThings and Google Home. Here are some resources that might help:
Additional Tips:
I hope this information helps! Feel free to ask if you have any other questions about using Google Home with your Samsung devices.
Regards,
Mario.
