Timer function

I need to control how long a switch is left on. It's a Kasa switch and the Kasa app only allows 3 timer actions and I need a 4th. I was told it is available in Google Home and to click on the upper right and click on the 3 dots in the upper right of screen that opens. The screen I get from following the instructions has no 3 dots any place on the screen. The timer function I want is to turn off the switch that controls the lights if they have been left on longer than a certain amount of time.

Hi Arig,

Thanks for reaching out.

If you're trying to link your Kasa switch to your Google Home speakers, make sure that the switch is completely set up using the Kasa app. As soon as it is done, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Home app .
  2. At the top left, tap Add Set up device plus Works with Google.
  3. Select the device maker from the list.
  4. To complete the setup, follow the in-app steps.

Keep me posted.

Best,

Princess

Hi Arig,

Thanks for clarifying. Could you tell us what devices are you using to control your Kasa switches? I'd love to know more details so I can check if we have some steps that we can try.
