Turn off certain floor level of lights in different rooms i.e. ground florr

  • Hi, there appears to be no facility to instruct the turning off, of the lights on different levels I e. Ground floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor etc, turning lights off, of different rooms is easy, but if I want to turn off the lights just for the 1st floor, I have to look at every room individually. Can't the floor  level not be in addition to identify rooms and thus order a floor level to comply?

Hey Garden33,

Thanks for reaching out.

While you can control your lights individually and by the rooms assigned, we don't have a way to control them by the floor assigned. I suggest create a room for each floor so that you can still control them by group. You can check this link for more information.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Alex

Hi, sorry not at all. The suggestion that all lights should only be in one room to control. I can't put all lights from every room in one room, that's just pointless!

Hey there,

Sorry for the confusion. What I mean is that you can group all the lights on the first floor to a unique room so that you can control them as one.

Thanks,

Alex

Hi,
Thank you, but pointless. How would I then just turn off the kitchen lights or Dining room etc rather than all when using other rooms on ground floor? Then only shutting down complete ground floor lighting once deciding to move upstairs or vice-versa?

Hi Garden33,

You can still control your lights individually using their unique name, adding to that you can control your lights by room name as well.

Alex

Hiya,

So I can have a bulb listed in two places? Say for example all the bulbs in the lounge, can also be listed just for ground floor. If that is the case could you advise how this is actioned.

Thank you.gareth

Hey Garden33,

While you can control your lights individually and assign them to a particular room, you can't assign them to multiple rooms. Assigning lights to different rooms means moving them as well. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback.

Best,

Alex
