Unable to leave or delete household members

Hi @benshepley,

 

I hope you are well and I would like to thank you for posting on our community page, on the other hand I apologize for the inconvenience that you are having. Let me tell you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to fix the problem.

 

Check Your Account:

  • Ensure you're logged in to the Google account that actually owns the Nest thermostat in the Google Home app. Only the owner or those with "admin" privileges can remove members.

Restart the App:

  • Sometimes a simple app restart can clear temporary glitches. Close the Google Home app completely (swipe it away from recent apps) and then relaunch it. If for some reason nothing happens you cant try uninstall and install the Google home app 

Verify Member Role:

  • Open the Google Home app and select your Nest thermostat.
  • Go to Settings > Home members.
  • Check the role (owner, admin, or home member) assigned to the member you want to remove.
