Unable to link Spotify account

Hi, I have several Google devices in both the UK and Dubai UAE (two Google Homes!). I also have a family Spotify account with 5 users. My UK home is set up using my Gmail based account on Spotify and the same Gmail account for Google home.

I am using another email (Yahoo) in Dubai for Spotify (with the same Gmail account as UK for Google Home) so that my family can listen to Spotify independently from me. Otherwise we have 'tugs of war' when I play music in Dubai and someone else plays music in the UK!

My issue is that I therefore need to associate one Spotify account with Google Home in the UK and a different one in Dubai (not Gmail based). Yet I understand that this may not be possible looking at this post: Can't link Spotify as music provider - Google Nest Community

Am I correct? Can I use my Gmail Spotify account across two homes independently? Would it make a difference if I created a new Gmail account and linked that to both Spotify and Google Home in Dubai, so that the two homes are essentially entirely independent?

Hey there, 

I understand what you're trying to do and I'm happy to help clarify some things for you as I understand that this can be confusing. 

What you're describing at first is not possible with 1 Spotify account and 1 gmail account. 
I'm not sure if it would make a difference if you had 2 Gmail accounts and they were linked to different devices within the same Spotify account or not. That is something that I would suggest reaching out to the Spotify customer support for and maybe their community to see if that is something that others know of.
