I have recently purchased a Nest Mini 2nd Gen and I was interested in some basic automation using Home and Away Routines, which are actually recommended by the Google Home app now every time I open it. However, I am using a Google Workspace account (for which I am the only user and admin) and every time I try to set it I get an error that says that G Suite accounts cannot be used for migration. I am, however, not making any migration - I have no prior Nest account and I am trying to accept the the Terms of Service (which do not mention anything related to Google Workspace or G Suite accounts).
Is this an error of some sort? How could I set up the Home & Away routines? Does it require some action on my side in the Google Workspace admin dashboard?

Hi there,
Sorry to hear about the confusion that is happening with the routines, but I'm happy to help.
Unfortunately, these routines are not compatible with Gsuite accounts. You will have to create a new personal gmail account in order to use that feature.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,

Is it some kind of work in progress for Workspace/GSuite accounts, or they are not expected to be compatible? I don't think it would make much sense to have a different account just to trigger these routines (since all the useful information like mail, calendar, etc is in my Workspace account). Is there a specific reason for this incompatibility?

Hey there,
Unfortunately we don't have any news on anything coming down the pipeline about future compatibility but I'm happy to take this feedback and pass it forward.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Garrett DS
