Volume from one channel to another

Mary

I watch one channel on YouTubeTV and the volume is fine. I ask Google Mini to watch a difference channel and sometimes the sound adjustment required with the TV remote is enormous. Google Mini, Chromecast, and YouTubeTV are all Google products. What is the problem?

Hey there Mary,

I apologize about the late response, thank you for being patient! That issue is a tough one, since content creators mix the sound on their videos/shows differently from one another, but I can understand wanting some consistency across different channels. I would encourage you to submit feedback via YouTube TV to let Google know that this is an issue. While they won't directly respond to you, Google takes every bit of submitted feedback seriously.

I'm sorry I couldn't have been more help, but if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!

Best regards,
Jeran

The link you provided is for YouTube. This concerns YouTube TV. I believe they are 2 different things. Both owned by Google. If You Tube TV can't figure out how to control the channels they stream, then Chromecast should get its act together and monitor and adjust the volume to a consistent level. It is all under the Google umbrella. Why is it up to me to find which part of Google is at fault.

Hiya Mary,

The best way for Google and YouTube TV to know which areas it can improve is by user feedback. The link I provided should lead to the same branch that controls feedback for YouTube apps on TV. I know it can be annoying that Google has segmented its locations for feedback, but such is the case when there is a large variety of services and products. Either way, I'll pass on your feedback.

Best regards,

Jeran

Still have the same question I started out with.

No problem! The best course of action is by submitting that feedback to Google to let them know that you'd want some more normalized sound across the videos and apps, and by using the link I provided, it will send that request straight to the engineering team to look into.

Best regards,

Jeran
