What are exactly the things to look for when I've setup my families phones to sense whether they're home or not and yet Google Home activates the Home or Away routines at unexpected times?
Why I'm asking: I've setup an Away routine to switch a smart switch off to let my Domoticz know we're not home, plus a Home routine that switches that same switch on. If I manually toggle in the Home app our house's presence status, that successfully updates the switch in Domoticz, so this part works perfectly. However, not all phones seem to be reporting their status correctly all the time, as for example sometimes when my wife leaves the house and I'm still at home the switch gets switched Off (Away routine runs). It doesn't only happen for this combination, the other way around it happens too that my wife is left in the cold when I leave the house, or my kids. From the logs in Domoticz I can see that the Home routine behaves just as erraticly, but this is most of times less obvious.
- Our phones are Xiaomi Mi 11 (M2011K2G), running MIUI 12 (= Android 11).
- Home application is version 2.47.78.2.
- All family members are logged in using their google accounts and in the same 'house'.
- The 'house' has our proper home address (If I check my home location in maps, it is shown almost perfectly on top of the roof my house)
- I have allowed this 'house' to use phone locations.
- I have presence detection enabled on 3 phones.
- The Home application has the 'Location' permission set to 'Always allowed' in all 3 phones.
- The Home application is set to 'No restrictions' in battery optimisation.
What else can I do to ensure that the presence of every family member of my family is always correctly incuded in the decisions made on the Home/Away status by Google Home?
