Whole Home Disappeared from my Nest and Google Home App

I had a whole home disappeared from the Nest and Google Home app.  I had two houses in there.  One is a rental and it’s totally gone.  I had Google WiFi and two Nest thermostats in that house.  And before anyone asks, yes, I”m sure it was on the same account I’m logged in with.  I look at it almost every day.  My wife also had access to it and she lost it as well.  Is there anything that can be done to try to see what happened or to restore it without me having to go to the house to set everything back up?

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that your whole home has disappeared from your Nest and Google Home apps. I appreciate the information you provided, confirming that you're under the right account and that your wife is experiencing the same issue. I'm happy to help.

In order to determine the reason for this, please provide the information requested below:

  1. What model of the Nest device do you have?
  2. Do you have an Android or iOS phone?
  3. What is the mobile device’s operating system?
  4. What is the mobile app version?
  5. Who is your service provider?
  6. When did you first encounter the issue?

In the meantime, I recommend you check if you have a different home structure selected in your account. Below, you'll find the steps to follow to switch between homes in the Nest and Google Home apps:

  • Switch between homes in the Google Home app:
    1. Open the Google Home app.
    2. Tap Favorites > The name of the current home.
    3. Select a new home from the list.
      • Tip: If the dropdown icon doesn’t appear when you select a new home, it means that you only have one home registered in the Home app.
  • Switch between homes in the Nest app:
    1. Open the Nest app.
    2. At the top left, tap Menu.
    3. Tap the home you want to switch to.
    4. You should be taken back to the app home screen where you can find the Nest products you have in the home you selected.
