I have the same problem as this. It matches the description by another user in 2022:

Having used the Nest app for years, and having migrated to "log in with Google", I was logged out of the Nest app last week, presumably due to an expired session cookie. Now, when I click on the Sign in with Google button within the Nest app, I'm shown a standard accounts.google.com sign in page in the in-app browser, with my google accounts (plus "Use another account") correctly listed. But when I click on any of these, the item is selected but nothing happens and there are no other action buttons on the page, so I have to hit Cancel to close the in-app browser. Whereupon I'm taken back to the Nest app's login page. So I can't use the Nest app any more on this device.
The in-app browser's built-in share button allows me to open the same page in the real Chrome app, wherein I can log in with Google. This authorises my Chrome app to use Nest, but it doesn't authorise the Nest app so doesn't help at all.
