@ronnyh1I

What Google Nest device are you trying to add? Some Google Nest devices get installed in the Google Nest app and others get installed in the Google Home app.

If you have the older Google Home, or Google Home Max, or any of the Nest Hubs, they get installed in the Google Home app. If you are re-installing them, you first have to do a factory reset.

I have a nest connect for connecting the nest x yale lock. i bought it new two weeks ago.

@ronnyh1I

Oh, I see. We don't have any Nest Connects, but it seems they get set up in the Google Nest app:

If you're having problems installing it, you could post specifics and see if other customers can offer suggestions.

Or you can try contacting Support:

I read an article that said that the nest will stop working after  April 8, 2024.

It means that the lock will no longer work ? or we will have other way to work with ?

thanks

Hi ronnyh1I,

Got it. A few questions: What message are you getting from the Nest app? How many Nest Connects do you have? Are they all online? How far is your Lock from the Connect? Also, are there any walls, mirrors, microwave appliances, or Bluetooth devices between the Connect and the Lock?

I look forward to your response.

Thanks,

Juni

Hi, I have only that nest connect. It’s showing in my nest app, but the yellow light blinks. I don’t get after the connection green light. The lock isn’t connected, I have started to connect the nest first.

Hi there,

Got it. You can power cycle the networking equipment (modem, router, and/or access point). Since Weave and Wi-Fi both operate in the 2.4 GHz band, it’s possible for the networks to interfere with one another. Most routers and access points choose their channel automatically. Restarting the access point allows it to choose a more interference-free network if needed.

Best,

juni

Hi folks,

@ronnyh1I, currently, the Nest x Yale Lock is only available in Canada and the United States (except Puerto Rico). With this, the Nest x Yale Lock would likely not be suitable to work on an existing Israeli lock. You can learn more about our Nest x Yale Lock by checking this link.

Please let us know if you still have questions or concerns, as we'll be willing to assist you more.

I appreciate your help, @MplsCustomer, Juni, and Dan.

Best,

Zoe

Hi and thank you for your answer. Last question is it only the locks and the nest connect can sync, or not work at all?

Thanks

Ronny
