unable to stream SiriusXM

Hello. I have been asking Google to "Play Sirius XM (First Wave, XMU, etc.)" and Google acknowledges by saying, "Streaming First Wave on Sirius XM". However, nothing actually plays. I have Sirius XM linked in my Home App under Radio and I am signed in. I have been able to stream SiriusXM up until a few days ago. I saw that others had this issue, but I have not been able to find a fix that will work for me. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your concern. We'll work together to identify the cause of the problem and find a solution. A few questions: what Google Nest speakers or displays are we working with? Were there any recent changes made? Are you getting the same response when you use your phone’s Google Assistant? 

 

You can refresh your devices and observe if it makes a difference. First, reboot your Wi-Fi router, and once the network is back up, do the same thing to your Google Nest speakers.

It’s been like this for a couple of months now.  Crickets from google or Sirius.  Seemed to coincide with Siriusxm app update…

Thanks for posting. A few questions: what Google Nest speaker do you own? Are other radio stations working? Also, what troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?

I think it’s a 1200…the firmware is up to date and the only thing it will not stream is SiriusXM.  All other platforms seem to work fine. Apple Music, iHeart and local fm stations like NPR and classic rock. Only Sirius is having issues. It looks like it’s about to stream but nothing. The google home app shows for seconds that it’s trying to stream but then stops showing anything playing…

Thanks for the details you’ve shared. Based on it, it seems like it’s isolated to Sirius XM only. Have you tried contacting them to create awareness? Also, we can identify the type of speaker you own by checking the helpful link below.
