Within the last few weeks, when in Night Vision Always On or Auto modes, the video feed from our Gen 2 wired doorbell began featuring a rhythmic pulsing from light image to dark image. Doesn't matter if its day, night, sunny overcast - it keeps pulsing. Nest records and stores each of these pulses as a Motion event. Last Saturday it logged 1225 events.
Is there something to be done about this or has this camera given up the ghost?

You may need to remove your doorbell from the Google Home app and do a factory reset, and then reinstall it. If that doesn't resolve the problem, you may have a defective doorbell.

Thanks for the reply! I will give that a try and let you know. Appreciate your help

You could also try just restarting it by briefly turning off the circuit that includes the doorbell.

Tried just killing the power to the unit - that didn't work. It's Zero degrees right now here in Chicago - I tried everything that doesn't involve going outside. I'll pull the doorbell tomorrow when the temp is a little warmer
Thanks again for your idea!
