2 outdoor cameras failed. I bought 8 cameras a little over a year ago and 2 have already failed.

I purchased 8 cameras and had them professionally installed a little over a year ago and 2 have already failed.  I thought google/nest would produce a more reliable camera but they aren't standing behind their product.  A 25% fail rate seems extremely poor to me.  Has anyone else had failed cameras?   Did Google stand behind their product?  I'm very disappointed in the equipment and the lack of support

We have two Google Nest doorbells and several cameras and hubs. Our first product, a Nest Hello doorbell, purchased in April 2019, started to malfunction and was replaced by Google in July 2020 and we were able to return the failed doorbell to Google for a free replacement. The replacement doorbell and all of the other devices are working fine. (We're not happy that the new Google cameras and doorbells released in the fall of 2021 work only with the Google Home app, but that's another story and we're hoping Google migrates Nest functionality to the Google Home app to support the new cameras.)

Have you tried contacting Google Nest Support at https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?hl=en ?

Hi Brad,

Unfortunately the only answer anyone had was to replace the cameras at my own cost. I called Google and tried to trouble shoot with them.  Also, Ontech technicians come out to both locations to look at them. I understand from the Google technician that the cameras had 2 year warranties under Nest but Google was no longer honoring that.  And neither Google nor Ontech could fix them or offer any support for the fact I had purchased so much hardware and now had to already replace 2 cameras at my own expense.  Both cameras failed only a little over a year after they were professionally installed.  That’s a 25% failure rate.  It has certainly shaken my confidence in Google and the google products.  If there is any way to refurbish the 2 cameras that quit working, I’d be interested in doing that.   I’d appreciate any help you can offer.
