How do I increase the time videos are saved? In the google home App anything over 3 hours old is automatically deleted. 

How can I add the doorbell to the Nest app without dismounting? Is there a way to retrieve the key code without removing the device? It seems this is what needs to add to the nest app and do I have to add to the nest app to increase the history time?

You need a Nest Aware subscription (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/13315909?hl=en&sjid=14518131959207022199-NC) to get video history for more than the first 3 hours.

You cannot add a 2nd gen doorbell to the Google Nest app.

Google have scammed you with it's advertising wording. You need to pay to get over 3hrs. So basically if you get robbed in the middle of the night by the time you wake up in the morning they have deleted the footage for you.
