Activity Zone by distance

It would be nice if we could set a zone by distance. I get a lot of foot traffic on the sidewalk that I don't need notice of but with current zone options if I were to cut off the zone at the sidewalk I would not get notices at the door because the AI won't recognize people with just the bottom half in zone. Maybe in future iterations you could make it so the door bell can judge distance and set a any thing w/in 20 feet zone or something like that. Thanks.
