Give this a try: go into the Google Home app. Click on the GEAR icon (lower right corner). Then just above that you should see a blue box with a "+ Add" button. Then you should see an option to ADD A HOME MEMBER. Enter their email address and this will send them an invite: NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY INVITE SOMEONE WITH A GMAIL email address.
