Added family members on Google Home app and they're not getting notifications

I have recently added a family member on the Google Home App but for some odd reason he is not getting notifications of the Nest Doorbell. We both have the latest Nest App and also the latest Google Home App. We tried uninstalling it and reinstalling the doorbell but this didn't work either. I tried removing him and adding him again but to no avail.

Also, (if I may), why is aren't Google Home Routines added automatically to family members added to the app?

Any help would be highly appreciated!

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. Could you check if they're signed into the correct account? Is the Airplane or Do Not Disturb mode turned off or on? Also, try the steps below to check the app permissions.

 

For Android users: 

  1. Go to the device’s Settings.
  2. Select Apps and notifications.
  3. Select all apps.
  4. Locate the Home app or Nest app.
  5. Select Notifications.
  6. Ensure that the toggle is on

For iOS users:

  1. Go to the device’s Settings.
  2. Look for the Home app or Nest app.
  3. Select Notifications.
  4. Ensure that the toggle is on.
