Adding Google Nest doorbell to Nest App?

My Google Nest doorbell will not connect to the Nest App... Because it won't connect, I can't connect Alexa, so the doorbell option won't work.

The Google Nest Doorbell (Battery), the Google Nest Camera (Battery) (as we discovered in Sept.), and the Google Nest Floodlight Camera--all released starting in 2021--deliberately work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website.
