Adding Home member to battery gen2 doorbell.

Hi

Is it possible to allow access to another home member to the Gen 2 battery doorbell? The member has all device and manager access yet the doorbell is "offline". Do I need to add them to the Nest Aware account?
Cheers

@TheTechnician

If the other member has manager access then they have access to all devices. Other customers in this forum have reported that some (or all) Google Nest devices show as "offline" to one household member and not another. That seems to be a defect, because there's no rational explanation.

Hello everyone,

@TheTechnician thanks for posting here and I understand your concern about adding a home member to have access to your Nest doorbell. You can follow this link for the steps on how to add a home member.

For the offline issue I'd like to ask some questions: are you getting any error messages? How far is the camera from the router? Does it show offline from the home member's device only?

Give these steps a try:

  • Restart your Nest Doorbell and your Wifi router.
  • Force close the Google Home App.
  • Reinstall the Google Home App.

Keep me posted.

@MplsCustomer thanks for your response.

Regards,

Emerson

Hi

The doorbell works fine on my device but not on my partner's. So distance isn't an issue. I'll restart the doorbell and my router and report back.

Thanks
