I see that several people have asked about this, but haven't seen anything helpful from Google to address. I have existing cameras on my nest subscription and bought a new camera. It will only add to Google home and I can't see any history on the old cameras on the google app. I also work in an environment that doesn't allow me to have my cell phone handy so rely heavily on the online nest access to see my cameras. Is there any plan to actually make the google web app more friendly??

One thing to try is google home for web. It is in preview at the moment. It works for seeing the new cameras for me. But another person linked to account could not view cameras(said cameras offline). The site is home.google.com

Google Nest decided that its newer cameras and doorbells release starting in the autumn of 2021 would work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website. Conversely, while the older cameras are visible in the Google Home app and event history can be seen (you have to drill down for it), 24/7 history and configuration is still only in the Google Nest app.
As @jthuberd pointed out, Google Nest has released a beta version of https://home.google.com. Many of us are hoping that this site will eventually provide history and configuration like the home.nest.com website.
Google Nest also has an update to the Google Home app available for limited Public Preview. Again, some of us are hoping that Nest app functionality will eventually be added to the Google Home app and will include our older cameras:

Thanks so much for the insight. We did find the "web application" - using that term very loosely. Would have been very helpful if Google had actually implemented a decent online tool before preventing new cameras from using the online application. Google clearly doesn't follow the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' concept'. The phone app is pretty crappy too compared to the Nest app. I can't view video unless there was an "event". This is why we never used Ring - it only saved events - not steady recording.

Hi there,
Thank you for your feedback on this, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest cams in the Nest app like you may be used too. However, you can now use the Google Home web app to view your cameras and doorbells.
The new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.
Best regards,
Brad

Thank you Brad! I'll be very excited with the Google web App provides the same functionality as the Nest web App - scrolling through the timeline, saving clips, etc., especially since I don't use google for speakers and displays (and email 😊). As someone who is unable to have access to their phone while at work, it's a little frustrating to only be able to view live video.
Thanks again for the update.
