Adding two google nest cameras to 1 home

Hello,

I'm sure this issue has been discussed. But I recently bought two Google Nest cameras outdoor.

Adding 1 camera to a home worked perfectly. Adding the second one, however, proved to be a challenge. I tried several times. But the Google home app could not add/find the second camera.

In my troubleshooting, I created a second home to configure the second camera, which worked. But why?

I can't move the camera from home two to home one, either. Why?

Can someone help me out to have the two cameras in one home?

So,

None of the above solutions worked for me. I removed both cameras and homes, and then re-added the cameras in reverse order.

no2 first and then no 1.

no1 was the one I did not have any problem with.

for some reason, that worked.

I added all 3 new Google cams with no issue. Then last night 1 of them went offline      .  No explanation why so I tried reconnecting, nothing.  Had green light, still nothing.  I removed the camera and tried reconnecting, nothing.   I tried resetting the camera, nothing.  Still green light on camera but it won’t connect.  I keep getting the device assist error message.  WTH Google?!?

I'm having the issue with my 2nd new Nest cam that I'm trying to setup in the Google Home app. Help!

So far no help, they love taking our money but support is yet to be provided

Problem Solved

Get a paper clip, press in the reset button on the back of the camera until you see a yellowish light come on and wait for all the audio tones to stop, once that’s done the camera is reset.
Once I did this I was able to add the camera to my original home. I’ll be sending my time card into Google.  Good luck everyone.

Nice work! I tried that method, and it didn't work for me. But, I did just find this solution, and adding it here for anyone who might come across this in the future: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/quot-Can-t-connect-to-assisting-device-...
