Adding user to Google Home

Hi,

I have set up the Google home app with our Nest Doorbell (battery) and have tried to invite my girlfriend multiple times, she  receives the email straight away but it always tells her the link has expired even though it was only request 30 seconds before.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so have you found an answer?

Is she using a person Gmail account?   As best I understand it you can only invite people with Gmail accounts (thanks Google!)

I understand that after setting up your Nest Doorbell (battery), you've been encountering an issue with inviting your girlfriend as a home member in the Google Home app. Although she receives the invitation link, it consistently shows an expiration within seconds. No worries, I'm here to help!

To better investigate this situation, could you please confirm how many members you currently have added to your Google Home structure? Just a reminder, a Google Family Group can have up to six members.

In the meantime, I’d suggest trying the following steps:

• Check that both you and your girlfriend are using Google accounts and that your devices are running the latest mobile operating systems.
• Make sure both your and her Google Home apps are updated to the latest version.
• Try accepting the invitation from the Google Home app. For guided instructions, refer to this article: Manage people and permissions in the Google Home app.
