Alerts when people exit

My Doorbell keeps alerting me when people leave the house. I love the alerts when people come in, but leaving is annoying since it happens several times a day and goes direct to my hearing aids. Any way it stop reporting exits? There are people and pets involved.

I suspect that the detection algorithms on our Google Nest cameras and doorbells are simply not smart enough to know when a person is entering versus exiting. I think all they can manage is "Person seen..." whether that's a delivery person coming to the door, or someone from inside the house getting the mail out of the mailbox, or someone exiting the house.
