All four Nest Cameras with Flood Light stopped showing Live but they are still recording

NerdSkier

We have a total of 6 Nest Cameras with flood lights on our Google Nest WiFi mesh network.  All of them worked great for several weeks.  Last week 2 of them went offline at same time and a few days later the remaining four cameras went offline.  They are connected to WiFi and are recording video when you go to the history tab.  They just don't show Live feeds any longer.  I'm struggling to see how this could be an issue with the cameras that would requiring factory resetting all of them and reconnecting and not something on the WiFi mesh routers.  They all went out on same day and continue to record history so it seems like their connection to the mesh is not the issue.  Any suggestions?

I have the same issues.
I keep loosing my camera. "The camera is offline" but some how, I have events recording the dog barking. That keeps happening recently, since the new year. Servers are getting slower, loading the app some how is slower.  There is obviously something going on behind the scene at google server HQ. My iphone is brand new, my wife samsung android phone is new as well. I just changed my Router for a new recent model, provided by the service provider (SHAW).

The wifi is always super fast and reliable. No issues that I know of, I event reset the modem, so it update itself automatically.

So when the camera is offline on the app, there's still some recorded events.  It is so frustrating. 90$ a year to maintain the clouding system. I'm about sell everything or salvage it, request a refund and go to Costco. They sell a package with a hard drive. You simply connect it to your router/modem, and it save all your videos up to 2T bites and once full it will start looping on it, So no more monthly fees. Free online app. Google nest is the worst experience I have heard from all my co-worker so far(including me). We're 12 at work and well have different system. Two have the Costco system. Sound like a Mirage.

All my camera on the Nest system are already obsolete or close to, the 4k advertise isn't full 4k, it is 1080p. They are so hot to the touch, all of them, that is so weird...

Anyhow back at the topic at hand, the connectivity doesn't and the recording always fails, event when everything is up to date, I have to erase the camera and register it again as a new one to the google app. Frustrating. I tried so much things... I wish I could curse... DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. Now someone help us please. 😄

Since yesterday, same problem overhere in Belgium. 2 of our 6 cams went offline. Still recording but live feed is no longer available. Did a hard reset. Now both are gone. I see: camera deactivated - please activate the camera. Did again a hard reset, problem is still not solved.

Hello everyone,

@NerdSkier, thanks for posting here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I'd like to confirm, how far are they from your Wi-Fi router? What other troubleshooting steps have you done so far? Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the camera? Try restarting your Nest Cameras and your Wi-Fi router. Let us know how it goes.

@GodOfTheWorld, I'm sorry to hear about your experience on your Nest Camera. We'd be happy to take a look into this for you. Please fill out this form with all the needed information. Let me know once you’re done.

@MrBiebel, could you share here how you reset your Nest Camera? Also, what is their light status? How many Nest Cameras are active on your app? Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Emerson

Don’t lock it. I’m reviewing everything. It’s harder for me to execute all those task as I work away from home for 2 months at a time.

Be patient.
