Animals not picking up on Nest wireless camera

I have the camera set to alert for animals. In the settings to turn this on, it says dogs and cats. So is that all that the camera recognizes??

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this, as I can imagine it has been an inconvenience. I would love to look into this further for you. Yes, right now, it will only record recognized animals like dogs or cats. Please leave your feedback in the app if you would like more options for pet/animal detection.

When I bought the cameras it said it detected animals, so I thought that meant any animals. Yes I would like it to detect any and all animals. Bear, deer, coyotes.

@Bronwen I know where you're coming from, when you say your Nest camera won't detect such animals. However, we don't have any news to share about that feature.
