App login - Nest Wired 2nd Gen

My nest app refuses to login to my google account. It keeps spinning and then says "there was a problem while connecting to nest service" The same is happening when trying online.

I've never had this issue before and my google login works on all other google services like gmail and youtube.

I've done a hard reset of the doorbell but same issue, any advice please ?

Hi sohelmulla,

Thanks for posting in the community!

I'm so sorry to hear that you're having difficulties logging in to your Nest app. No worries; I'm here to help! Just to get started, I have a couple of questions for you. Can you please help me answer them?

  • Do you have an Android or iPhone device?
  • What is the Nest app version?
  • When you're trying to log in to the app, which option do you use: "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Nest"?
  • What is the mobile device’s operating system?

Knowing this information will allow me to provide the best way to solve this situation. If you have more questions for me, feel free to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist further!

Best regards,

Nery.

Hi sohelmulla,

Thanks for your reply and for sharing all this information!

Let's try some steps together!

  • Make sure your device's time is correct (it's set automatically).
  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Nest, and verify the Nest app has permissions.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the Nest app.
  • Test with cellular data.

I hope this helps! If you have more questions for me, feel free to reply to this post. I'll be happy to assist further!

Best regards,

Nery.
