Hi
I can’t connect the battery doorbell to Alexa. Can the google home app ( rather than the nest app ) be connected to Alexa

Hi there, Carolynlock.
To answer your question; yes you can connect Alexa to the Google Home App as the Nest Hello Battery Doorbell is not available on the Nest App. All of our cameras work with voice assistant technology. Try setting it up again within the Google Home App. You can check out this article here for more information on getting Alexa set up with your Cameras.
Please let me know if you need further assistance. I look forward to your response.
Best Regards,
Brad

Hi I have now connected battery doorbell to google how thanks. Although I can’t connect it to Alexa. Alexa can only see my nest thermostats. It appear the Alexa skill is only linked to the nest app and not google home. I can’t find anyway to connect my nest battery doorbell to Alexa. I’ve called Amazon and they can’t help. Do you know how I connect the battery doorbell to Alexa.
I’ve read the google support pages and no answers there

I have this same issue - I have connected my Alexa to the Nest Thermostat and Nest Cameras (indoor and outdoor) but CAN NOT connect my Nest Battery Doorbell to my Alexa. It appears to be because the Alexa Skill is only linked to the Nest App (the Battery Doorbell is NOT in the Nest App) and not to Google Home. Any progress on this?

I’m having this same issue. I recently bought the echo show thinking it was compatible with my doorbell and cameras, but Apparently any google battery devices are not compatible with Alexa which is really inconvenient.
