Audio entry in the home menu

The microphone of my Nest Helleo doorbell cannot be activated for lack of the audio entry in the Home parameters menu

Sorry for the issues you're having with the Nest Doorbell. That sounds like a confusing situation. Let's get this working correctly for you.

I do have a few questions that should help us out.

  • What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far on this?
  • Which version of the Nest Doorbell are you using?
  • Are you using the same Google account for your Home account and the doorbell?
  • Does everything else work properly with the doorbell?

Hi Jeff,

My Nest doorbell has always worked fine except for voice communications.

I tried using several different Pixel phones and several Surface computers under MS Edge and Firefox.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the application.

I checked that app and Internet browsers had access to the microphone.

I called Google who exchanged my Nest doorbell for a new model.

the outcome was a talkie walkie mode working OK from a computer accessing Nest over Internet via Firefox.

I then installed android 12 on my Pixel phone and - miracle - sound works in seamless mode.

I still have no menu entries in Nest or Home to adjust the microphone sensitivity but I do not care, my doorbell WORKS even if I dont know why.
