Audio on recordings

I've installed a Nest Doorbell battery and currently in the 30 day trial of Nest Aware.

Both in the Google Home App and after downloading the clip through event history, neither have audio. I've checked the mic settings are set to "on" and the pickup level is high etc. I've double checked my phone isn't on mute - set it all the way to max too just to be sure. Am I missing something please?

My partner was able to hear clearly whilst the doorbell was live when she got the notification so the mic does work and picking up.

Hey there,


Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.
