Battery Doorbell Charger

Let's keep this simple:

The doorbell charge lasts 24 hours, I have read all the previous threads, but the new replacement still drains. I use the charging cable provided and have tried to charge via several power sources, but each drains quickly.

Which power source ensures the best result? Or is it a continued waste of time?

It sounds knackered. I get like 20 or 30 events a day and it lasts 3 to 4 weeks.
