Battery percentage

When I put put my camera on charge it showed the percentage to be 65%.   After being on charge for 12 hours the percentage is still at 65%.   What is wrong?  What do I do to fix this?

Is the charging cord plugged firmly into the bottom of the camera with the cord feeding towards the FRONT of the camera?

Mp;sCustomer:  I'm not sure.   My husband put it on charge.   But I found it strange that I  didn't get a notification that it was on charge and when it was fully charged.   I'll have to look into it the next time we charge it.  Thanks for your reply.   Maria
