My indoor chime and bell notification not working since I signed up again for storage ,
used to work fine now the video works well but when you press the bell the unit looks like it turns off and I get no chime or phone notification that the bell was pressed. Wondering if it’s a software issue somewhere or the nest has gone bad. It’s a wired unit

@Cancel912 There is a well-known issue with the 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell (which gets installed in the Google Nest app) where the internal battery (which provides power to the doorbell during the instant when the doorbell button is pressed) fails, causing the doorbell to go offline for a minute whenever the doorbell button is pressed, but I haven't seen any posts in this forum about this happening with the 2nd gen Google Nest Doorbell (which gets installed in the Google Home app).
This internal battery failure has now happened on all 3 of our Google Nest Hello Doorbells. We've turned off the "Indoor chime" option (which keeps the doorbell from going offline) and rely instead on the "Visitor announcements" option to get notifications on our Nest Hubs and Nest Mini instead.

Hi Cancelar912,
Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest doorbell isn't the ring inside and you aren't getting notifications when someone rings the Nest doorbell also it turns off. I'm happy to help you!
At the moment, i need to ask a few questions to give the correct troubleshooting:
Keep me posted.
Best regards,
Rusell.

I have the same issue with my wired 2nd generation doorbell. Video and audio work fine. There are a few dozen YouTube videos on this subject and today, I'm sure I watched them all. Many have the same suggestions. I disconnected one of the wires and touched the other one to verify the doorbell does work. I have both reset and factory reset the unit. Some have recommended turning off and on the chime, turning on the electronic chime, adjusting the chime duration. I've even thought about jumping up and down on one leg while turning in a circle. But, I'm too old for that. Nothing works.
