The other night, a car was sitting in my parking lot. I know this because I drove past it, slowly in the parking lot. When I went to look at the camera history, there was no event at all so the other times are blacked out and I could not manually look at all video, only the events and somehow the camera totally malfunctioned and did not pick this up as an event while it did pick up all the cars before and after this event. Is this a new and improved feature that I can't see the actual history unless the camera tells me there is an event? Clearly there was an event with a car sitting out there, me driving by and slowly waving at the car, but then I can't go back and reference that and see when the other car left? On the nest app I can go just review all video. The new camera now can't because it can only be viewed on google home? That's crazy as technology increases we get less flexibility and less features, I don't understand that at all, if there is a way to do this and just review my video, or why it missed that event that was blatant and right in front of the camera, please let me know. If I can't refer back and review the video I will have no choice but to make a switch, what good are cameras that don't record???

I do subscribe and pay for 24/7 is it possible this camera is not set up to it maybe that is the problem. It literally shows me the events, and is blacked out for non events. But since it missed that event, how many other events does it miss? How can I research this malfunction? If these cameras are unreliable I really have to rethink it.

Is your battery camera plugged in with the optional power cable? (That's what we have.) If it is NOT, you cannot get 24/7 recording with a camera or doorbell running on battery power.
If you go to your camera in the Google Home app and go to Settings | Video | Video history, which option is checked?
When viewing your history in the Google Home app, if you have 24/7 recording checked, you should be able to toggle between Timeline and Events, as described in this Help topic:

That's how it works for our battery camera. Our camera does not do as well at flagging events at night, though it does record them.
