Camera Offline - to cold?

Just wondering if others have their Nest doorbell camera go offline during extreme winter cold weather? And if there is a “fix”?

You might want to see this very long post on cold weather concerns with the new Google Nest Doorbell (Battery):

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I can definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be, but I wanted to make sure that your issue was addressed. Do you still need help with this issue? I know that there's been a delay in response since you posted.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.

I think you know that people "still need help with this issue". There are over 500 replies on the associated thread "Cold weather concerns why Nest Doorbell Battery" (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Cold-weather-concerns-with-Nest-Doorbel...), and on that thread you yourself noted the following on Jan. 5, 2022:

"I do not have an update at this time, but I wanted to continue to thank you all for your feedback, and workarounds. We are still looking into this issue at this time."

Prior to that, on Dec. 7, 2021, you noted this:

"...these devices should be able to handle colder weather. Collecting your feedback will help determine next steps."

I think Google Nest needs to acknowledge that the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) seems to be inherently flawed and cannot keep the battery charged when temperatures drop below around 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius).

Hi there.

I understand your frustration, but I cannot provide assistance for an issue that is still being addressed. The issue that this pertains too is far larger than I, so  I would appreciate it if you would please refrain from calling out any of our individual Community Specialists in these forums. We are here to help when we are able too, and me reaching out is all in good spirit. I ask that you remain positive, and helpful to those around you just as we strive to do each day.

Best regards,

Brad.
