Camera connection dropping in and out

dremsen

I have a Nest Cam outdoor on my home wifi and drop cam at work on an office wifi.   Both have always worked very well with continuous streaming video.   For the past couple of months at least I have noticed that both cameras, in both locations, are now continuously disconnecting and then reconnecting to their respective networks such that they are offline for at least 90% of the time.    What's even more odd is that, for many of the short time time intervals they come on and actually record video,  they seem to be initiated by motion in a Zone.  In other words,  there is often a visual indicator in the shop clip that a zone was activated (small colored dot).    This is not consistent however and may be a coincidence.   Connectivity/Streaming issues were never a problem with either camera in the past.   Now it's a feature of both of them.   They operate on entirely different networks with different model cameras.   It cannot be the camera.   Something has happened with the service.
