I notice that when I open the app up in the middle of night or when I get up in morning, it will see and report stuff with in a minute of that current time. But it doesn't see or report anything between that time and the time hours before I checked it.
During the day I will sometimes get alerts when not on the app.
At night does it sence stuff mostly or only when the app is open? What's the deal with this?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, do you have a Nest Aware subscription Which Nest Camera do you have? In case you have the new version of Nest Camera, it can temporarily save 3 hours of event history.

No I do not have nest aware. I don't think anyway. It did not come with my package thru adt so I don't believe I need it.

Hello Peep-eyE,
I appreciate your update. Try restarting your Nest Camera and Wi-Fi router to refresh their connections to the Nest servers. Turn off and on the Notification settings on your Nest app or Google Home app and let us know how it goes.
